ASICS launches its biggest advertising campaign to date: “It’s a big world. Go run it.” The global campaign was conceived by 180 Amsterdam and is designed to motivate sportspeople all around the world to push their boundaries, explore new territories and discover the huge variety of ways and reasons to run.
Chris Sargent directs the exhilarating Somesuch-produced :60 TVC, to be aired during headline sports events around the world, as well as the :90 web version. The spot (which has already been selected as Creativity’s Pick of the Day) was shot on location in New Zealand and features a crowd of 150 real-life runners – no actors – including six ASICS-sponsored professional athletes from various running disciplines.
The clip begins as a city dweller summons his fellow runners and they answer the call of a ram’s horn, emerging and converging through every landscape imaginable. The cross-terrain action gets our hearts pumping and our adrenaline spiking, as the tribe of runners achieve their goal and reach the summit of a giant mountain, just as the sound of another horn calls them to their next challenge.
